Patios
Why choose Comer & Cross patio coatings?
Outdoor concrete cracks, spalls and stains, and ordinary epoxy fails outdoors because UV light turns it yellow and brittle. Our polyurea basecoat flexes with freeze-thaw movement and the polyaspartic topcoat is formulated for sun exposure, so your patio keeps its color. Textured flake adds grip when wet, and the sealed surface resists mildew, grill grease and planter stains. Coating an existing patio costs a fraction of replacing it and takes a day instead of a week.

Benefits

The system
America’s Strongest Coating Process: four layers, built to outlast epoxy
Each layer bonds to the one below and cures in hours. Polyurea underneath for strength and flex, polyaspartic on top for UV and chemical resistance. Together they make America’s Strongest Coating Process, built to outlast ordinary epoxy.

- Polyaspartic topcoatThe clear, UV-stable finishing layer. Locks in the flake, resists chemicals and hot-tire pickup, and wipes clean.
- Decorative flakeBroadcast to full coverage while the base is wet. 16 blended colors; adds texture and slip resistance.
- Polyurea basecoatThe structural layer. Flexible and high-adhesion, built to outlast epoxy, so it will not peel or crack with your concrete.
- Prepared concreteDiamond-grind profiling plus crack and pit repair. It’s the step DIY kits skip and the reason our floors last.

What patio customers say
Craig Dellinger3 months ago
Reasonable price. Jake Rieger and Ben Clark did a wonderful job on our garage, driveway, porch and sidewalk, about 1,500 sq. ft., all in two days. They worked over 12 hours yesterday. We couldn't be happier with the end results. I highly recommend this company and especially these two guys.

If you are on the fence about getting your patio flooring poly coated, you should contact Comer and Cross!!! Not only is the finished work beyond beautiful, the customer service is just amazing!!! We were supposed to get it done a few weeks ago but Mother Nature had other plans. The communication that Moe (crew leader) had with me was so professional and beyond accommodating. He was even going to come on his day off (Sunday) two weeks in a row to get it done. Moe and Damian came today and I knew it was gonna look good, but I am blown away how amazing it looks!!! The two of them worked in the 95-degree heat and were so efficient and super friendly!!! I'm so excited to begin using our patio. If we do our garage floor I would only go with them.

Reasonable price. Comer and Cross rep Sara delivered an exceptional job at my shop and back patio floor. The crew they sent was Riley and Dennis, who were most professional. These two guys are truly an A-team. Can't be happier.

Good questions
Patio coating FAQs
Can you coat a patio that has cracks?
Yes. We grind, repair cracks and spalled areas, then coat, so the repair becomes part of the floor.
Does the coating get hot in the sun?
Lighter flake blends stay noticeably cooler than bare concrete or dark pavers.
How soon after install can it rain?
The polyaspartic topcoat is rain-safe within a few hours of application; we schedule around the forecast.
Can you coat steps and walkways too?
Yes. Porches, steps and walkways are all part of our outdoor work.
Can my floor really be coated in one day?
Yes, for most garages, basements and patios. The crew grinds, repairs and coats in one visit because polyurea and polyaspartic cure in hours. You can walk on it that evening and park on it after 24 to 48 hours.
How much does a garage floor coating cost?
It depends on the square footage, the shape the concrete is in and whether an old coating has to come off. We don’t guess over the phone. A free in-home visit takes 30 to 60 minutes, and you get a written quote that’s good for a year. See what drives garage floor coating cost.
